    Get Started in 3 Steps

Integrate sanctions screening into your application in minutes

    1

    Get Your API Key

Sign up and copy your API key from the dashboard. Keep it on the server — never in browser code.

    2

    Make Your First Request

POST /api/screen with a name or email. Read match, should_block, review_required and soft_block; HTTP 200 alone does not mean clear.

    3

    Integrate with Your System

Use the Node or Python SDK, or call the REST API with x-api-key.

    Authentication

Private routes need your API key in x-api-key. Missing key is 401. A key that is not recognized is 403. A screening hit is still HTTP 200.

    x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY

    Base URL

All API requests should be made to our base URL:

    https://api.primeguardia.com

    Developer FAQ

Common questions from developers integrating our API

Does a hit block the HTTP request?

No. Designation hits return HTTP 200 with should_block true and review_required true. You decide whether to hold the customer. The API does not auto-block.

What's the difference between a sanctions hit and a watchlist hit?

OFAC, EU, UK, and US designation lists are legal prohibitions — treat should_block as a review that usually means stop or escalate. PEP, crime, and wanted hits are watchlist signals for review. They are not the same as a sanctions designation.

    How do I get started?

Create an account, copy the API key from the dashboard, and POST /api/screen with a name. Or install primeguardia-sanctions-sdk / pip install primeguardia.

    What lists do you cover?

OFAC, PEPs, regulatory, sanctions, wanted, crime, US sanctions, EU sanctions, UK sanctions, and UK Companies House disqualified directors. Coverage by plan is on the pricing page.

    How often are lists updated?

We ingest from official sources including OFAC and OpenSanctions on a regular schedule.

    What are the rate limits?

By plan: Starter 1,000/month and 20/min; Small 5,000/month and 30/min; Medium 25,000/month and 50/min; Large 100,000/month and 100/min. Contact us for custom volume.

    Which SDKs are supported?

Node (npm package primeguardia-sanctions-sdk) and Python (PyPI package primeguardia). Other languages should call the REST API.

    Is there a sandbox?

No separate sandbox host. Use a unique test name on production; it still counts against quota. Do not screen real customers with a key you pasted into a ticket or chat.
